Alvar Aalto - Finland
Noura House
Hongikontie 9, Jyväskylä
1923 - 1924

The Noura House is a two-story, wooden construction, which was redesigend into a residential and commercial building by Alvar Aalto.
After the conversion, the lower level was occupied by a bakery and a café, while the second floor was occupied by three one-bedroom-flats and a kitchen.
Access to these apartments was made by an internal staircase and an access balcony. Today the building is entirely used for residential purpose.
The building in Jyväskylä is located slightly elevated above a street, facing the Taulumaki Church.
