|Piero Bottoni - Italy|
As one of the protagonists of the italian Rationalism, Piero Bottoni (1903 - 1973) was active in the various fields of urbanism, architecture and design.
As a delegate he representated Italy at the CIAM Congresses from 1929 to 1949 - in 1933 he belonged to the co-authors of the Charta of Athenes,
the manifestation of the rational town planning. From 1954 to 1965 Bottoni taught at the Faculty of Trieste, and later (1964-1971) at the Milan Politecnico.
