Luigi Caccia Dominioni - Italy
Apartment Building
Via Ippolito Nievo 10, Milano
1964 - 65

Approximately ten years after building his famous condominiums in Via Nievo, Luigi Caccia Dominioni got the opportunity to build another residential building in the same street.
In some aspects, this building is similar to its predecessor. The façade is characterized by the many windows of different dimensions and proportions.
However, the color of the façade cladding is different. While the first building was covered with blue-gray ceramic tiles, the architect used the same material in brown color for this construction.
Unlike his earlier building in Via Nievo, this one lacks the large glazed bay windows on. But there is also a compressed ground floor, and the rear façade is structured by the two elevators.
Although the building is part of a strictly structured development, it is in a relaxed relationship with the directly adjacent garden.
