Domenico Morelli - Italy

Domenico Morelli (1900 - 1998) was an Italian architect, receptive to the international discourse and the innovative architectural language of European rationalism. Born in Naples, he moved to Turin. He studied civil engineering and architecture. In the first years he worked for Giuseppe Biagini, Armando Melis and Pietro Betta. He is the author of numerous projects before and after the Second World War. Of particular interest is the high-rise building in Via Vico 8 in Turin, where he also lived for a lifetime. As an admirer of Bruno Taut and the European rationalism he took part in the "Gruppo Architetti Novatori Torinesi - GANT".

Giuseppe Biagini, Armando Melis und Pietro Betta. Er ist Autor zahlreicher Projekte vor und nach dem zweiten Weltkrieg. Von besonderem Interesse ist das Hochhaus in der Via Vico 8 in Turin, wo er auch ein Leben lang wohnte. Als Bewunderer von Bruno Taut und dem europäischen Rationalismus beteiligte er sich an der "Gruppo Architetti Novatori Torinesi – GANT".
