Entrance to Faculty of Literature and Philosophy of the University of Venice

Carlo Scarpa was asked to adapt the former convent of San Sebastiano to house the arts department of the Faculty of Literature and Philosophy at the end of 1974. He elaborated several designs for this task, and in 1976 he was commissioned to design the new entrance portal to the church's side façade. Completed by G. Pietropoli, the finished work was unveiled a year after Carlo Scarpa's death.
Carlo Scarpa wurde Ende 1974 gebeten, das ehemalige Kloster von San Sebastiano anzupassen um die Kunst-Abteilung der Fakultät für Literatur und Philosophie zu beherbergen. Für diese Aufgabe erarbeitete er mehrere Entwürfe, und im Jahr 1976 wurde er beauftragt, das neue Eingangsportal an der Seitenfassade der Kirche zu entwerfen. Vervollständigt durch G. Pietropoli wurde das fertige Werk ein Jahr nach Carlo Scarpa Tod enthüllt.
