Flora Ruchat - Switzerland

The Swiss architect Flora Ruchat-Roncati (04.06.1937 - 24.10.2012) studied at the ETH in Zurich and is considered an important representative of the "Ticino School". She then worked for the well-known Ticino architect Rino Tami. In collaboration with Aurelio Galfetti and Ivo Trümpy, Flora Ruchat-Roncati realized important buildings in Ticino between 1962 and 1971. In 1971 she founded her own architectural office in Riva San Vitale. From 1975 to 1985, Flora Ruchat-Roncati worked in Rome. Later she worked together with Dolf Schnebli, Tobias Ammann and Renato Salvi. In addition, from 1985 to 2002, Flora Ruchat-Roncati was a professor at the ETH Zurich.

Danach arbeitete sie für den bekannten tessiner Architekten Rino Tami. In Zusammenarbeit mit Aurelio Galfetti und Ivo Trümpy realisierte Flora Ruchat-Roncati in den Jahren 1962 bis 1971 wichtige Bauten im Tessin. Im Jahr 1971 gründete sie ihr eigenes Architekturbüro in Riva San Vitale. Von 1975 bis 1985 arbeitete Flora Ruchat-Roncati in Rom. Später arbeitete sie zusammen mit Dolf Schnebli, Tobias Ammann und Renato Salvi. Zudem war Flora Ruchat-Roncati von 1985 bis 2002 Professorin an der ETH Zürich.
