Otto Wagner - Austria
Schützenhaus Donaukanal
Obere Donaustrasse 26 - Vienna
1906

The small building, designed by Otto Wagner, at the border of Danube river is an architectonic eyecatcher.
Originally it was necessary to make the Danube canal a safe trade and winter harbor.
At the time of its conception, it was the intention to construct three further barrages,
but just one was executed. The striking building ist partially clad with colorful tiles.
