Burkhard Meyer - Switzerland
Apartment- and Office Building
Martinsbergstrasse 38 - 42, Baden
1989 - 1990

The main feature of the design of this building complex is the mix of self-contained apartments, maisonettes, studios and the architect's (Burkhard Meyer) own office.
The complex consists of a L-shaped volume and a cube-like building, containing thi office. This cube has an important role in the ensemble, mediating between
the neighbouring detached houses and the urban scale residential constructions. The combination of these two volumes endows the building with an attractive,
slightly evasive form. A cooperative block of flats with 22 living units, designed by the same architects, adjoints the complex on the south-east side.
